This 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is #180 of 600 examples built worldwide, just 141 of which were designated for the US market. It is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Carrara White with contrasting graphics over black leather and Alcantara, the car is equipped with GT Silver Metallic-finished 19″ center-locking wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, bi-xenon headlights, an adjustable rear wing, carbon-fiber-backed seats, clear LED taillights, a CD stereo, and air conditioning. This 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 is offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a DME report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean title.
The 997 GT3 RS 4.0 features a carbon-fiber hood, front fenders, and rear wing, which contribute to a weight reduction of 22 pounds compared to the contemporary GT3 RS. This example is finished in Carrara White with contrasting graphics and has bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, fog lights, front canards, clear LED taillights, and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets.
GT Silver Metallic-finished 19″ center-locking multi-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin tires. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors. The GT3 RS 4.0 was factory equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers.
The carbon-fiber-backed sport seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and additional appointments include red seatbelts, “RS 4.0” embroidery on the headrests, a CD stereo, carbon-fiber door sill guards, and air conditioning.
A plaque located on the right side of the dashboard denotes the car as #180 of 600 units produced.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central RS 4.0-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.
The 4.0-liter flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods, a revised intake manifold, a freer-flowing exhaust, and higher-flow air filters with carbon-fiber housings. Factory-rated output was 493 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
