Description
This 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn is one of 25 Black Badge models produced with the Landspeed Collection package.
Finished in Black Diamond Metallic and Bonneville Blue and powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It rides on 21″ carbon alloy wheels as well as an adjustable air suspension and is further equipped with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, a black convertible top, coach doors with power assistance, and a suite of driving aids. Inside, the heated and massaging front seats and heated rear seats are trimmed in black leather with Scivaro Grey trim and are accompanied by quad-zone automatic climate control, a 16-speaker premium sound system, and a Landspeed Collection–specific badging.
Available for Wraith and Dawn models, the Landspeed Collection package was inspired by British engineer Captain George Eyston, who set three world land-speed records in the late 1930s at the Bonneville Salt Falts. Dubbed Thunderbolt, the car utilized to break the records was powered by two Rolls-Royce R V12 engines and weighed seven tons with three axles and eight wheels. In homage to Thunderbolt, Landspeed Collection cars wear a two-tone Black Diamond Metallic and bespoke Bonneville Blue finish as well as black and yellow aero inserts in the front bumper cover. Further exterior equipment includes a retractable dark chrome Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, an aluminum hood, a black convertible top, adaptive LED headlights, and coach doors with power assistance.
The 21″ carbon alloy composite wheels feature self-centering Rolls-Royce center emblems with yellow pinstripes and are wrapped in Continental ContiSportContact tires that measure 255/40 up front and 283/35 out back. The car rides on an adjustable air suspension that is equipped with active anti-roll bars. The four-wheel disc brakes feature red-finished calipers, brake-energy regeneration, and a four-channel anti-lock system.
The cabin is trimmed in black and Scivaro Grey leather upholstery with Powder Blue and Bright Yellow detailing. Rolls-Royce monogramming adorns the headrests of the heated and massaging front seats and heated rear seats. Further amenities include quad-zone automatic climate control, stowed umbrellas, and lambswool floor mats in addition to a 10.25″ touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, a rotary multimedia controller, and a premium 600-watt 16-speaker sound system.
